FISHING REPORT
| June 13 2003 |
|---|
| | Homosassa tarpon were really tough in May; in fact all along the Florida coast even in the keys; tarpon had some type of lockjaw and the fish were just not in with great numbers. Billy Pate and crew were here for several days the last week of May and could not get a fish to eat. He saw 14 schools of fish, perhaps the fishing pressure was too great or the guide he had was incompetent. Ha Ha !!!! :-) | | |
Hotter weather has changed everything. Air Temperatures are ranging from the high 80's during the day to the low 70's at night with water temperatures in the low 80's which equals perfection for the basking of silver king fishery. The month of June has brought in a lot more fish. Schools are everywhere we look. And they are hungry. I have a couple of days open on June 25-26 and July 2-4; 7 and 10 for Homosassa tarpon. | | |
Starting July 11 through August 30 I will be following the fish up the coast to St. George Sound. These fish are hungry and very predictable in their paths like being on a railroad track. All well placed shots in front of west bound single to quadruple are potential eaters as the fish are aggressive. | | |
Currently my reservation book is open from July 11, 16-25., August 5-6, 18-30. | | | |
