Come to Homosassa for great redfish action

FISHING REPORT

June 30 2004
...
Along with the beautiful hot weather, Homosassa tarpon action has continued to be fruitful for those who pursue the powerful giant fish.
Why just yesterday morning, Craig Clark hooked his first ever tarpon on the fly. A sporty young bull of about 70-80 pounds gulped the offering and hauled tater while jumping, greyhounding straight away. The fish was off after 25 seconds of pure drag screaming fun.
Folks there is so much more to report like this, almost a tarpon every day at least on for some time, but my fingers are numb from poling the boat and my carpo-tunnel is acting up so I will leave you with a few pictures to speak for themselves.
I will say in closing that the action could be over here after the next full moon which is nearing us. I will soon move up the coast 200 miles to intercept some of those northbound hungry poons.

Have A Great Day!
