FISHING REPORT

March 19 2003
...
Fishing has been pretty good so far this month in Homosassa. I have a lot of catching up to do since my last report of March 4.
My main computer is broke and my e-mail is still down as I write this report from my back-up unit. Fishing has been fantastic but if you need to contact me, you should try phoning me at home or on my cell phone. If you don’t have those numbers, they are posted on my main web site at www.homosassafishing.com
To be real truthful to all the readers, I sometimes wonder why I bother with these reports especially during the season when the fishing is great and I am working all the days I can possibly book for the next three months. I am frustrated with my reports because I wanted to update weekly. Once again through a foolish error, my computer quit operating. I will be researching a different method in posting my reports; I am tired of my inefficiency.
I guess my clients do appreciate me writing about them and since I bought my Mother a Web TV unit, we have communicated more than ever in 35 years time apart from each other. So, I will do whatever it takes to keep pace with modern technology even though I have to pay the penalty of down time. To all my readers, I apologize for the lack of reports once again.
Jeff Whiting, a local dry-wall specialist and acquaintance booked a trip with me as he always said he wanted to go fishing with me. He brought along his working partner, John. Also, another older friend named Mack. Turns out Mack knew my best friend of my teen-age years, the late Buzz MacRae.
The longer old Buzz is gone the more I cherish the friendship we had together. Everyone who knew Buzz always had stories to tell. Mack had a good one about old Buzz to tell me that I had not heard before.
One day he said Buzz brought over two young armadillos in the back of his Mom’s car in the trunk. Mack said what are you going to do with these, Buzz? These are good to eat, Buzz quipped! Trying to be nice, old Mack said why you don’t just let them go into the woods. After some comments about how tender they would have been, Buzz turned them loose.
Buzz liked to use his Mother's car trunk for anything with four legs. Once he loaded up two live pigs he ran down on foot.
The rest of the day Mack and I told Buzz stories. Folks, I can tell you the fishing has been great. But I have written all I am going to do tonight.
Have a Nice Day!
Capt. Mike
